What is the BTO Defects Liability Period (DLP)?
HDB's Defects Liability Period (DLP) is 1 year from the date of key collection. HDB recommends reporting items within 1 month of key collection and before renovation begins, so the cause can be assessed clearly.
What types of defects can the AI detect?
The AI screens photos for visible paint defects, tile alignment or chips, carpentry gaps, wall and ceiling cracks or damp patches, unfinished electrical fittings, visible plumbing concerns, and window or door misalignment. It cannot test concealed, structural, hollow-tile, electrical, or waterproofing conditions.
